When organizing TEDxNormal, I wanted speakers who had engaging stories to tell, and would challenge the audience with their storytelling abilities. I immediately thought of Sarah, and our audience was not disappointed. She blew us away with the story she told, and how she told it. It is not easy to stand on the big red dot, but Sarah did it with confidence and grace.

Oh goodness, Sarah was absolutely amazing! I think everyone in the room wanted to be her best friend - my best friend even flew in early to see her speak because she was so exxcited about Sarah’s keynote. We have a date this weekend to watch both of her documentaries.

I would say the best part was how “real” Sarah was and that she was able to pull together her life experiences and the experiences of the extraordinary women in her films. She had the audience tearing up but also uplifting them - it just really made the conference end on a high note.

Sarah’s documentaries and presentation was empowering and moving during our inaugural women’s symposium. Her passion for her work and empowering women is inspiring. She brought many of us to tears due to her passion and determination to share with the world the beauty within her work. We are excited to have her at Hill Air Force Base for future events.

Sarah was awesome and everyone loved her. The movie clips were definitely moving and worked well in tandem with her story.
